Robert Lynn Dixon
Robert Lynn Dixon, 88, of Osceola Mills, PA died on Sunday, November 2, 2014 at the Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College, PA.
Born on 22 July, 1926 in Rush Township, PA, he was the son of the late Sanford & Abby (Burley) Dixon. He married Phyllis (Daughenbaugh) Dixon on October 28, 1988 in Cumberland, MD; she survives at home. Mr. Dixon was of Christian Faith and a U.S. Navy veteran of W.W.II. He was a member of: the VFW Post 5020 in Osceola Mills, PA; 
the American Legion of Osceola Mills, PA; a Life member of the Columbia Fire Company in Osceola Mills, PA; and the Penn State Local Union #8. He retired in July 1991 from the Penn State University as a heavy equipment operator. Mr Dixon enjoyed his Kabota, hunting, helping with dinners at the Columbia Fire Hall, and dining out.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters and four brothers.
Along with his wife he is survived by many nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at the Heath Funeral Home in Osceola Mills, PA; with Reverand Donald Dixon & Pastor William Murphy officiating. Burial will be at the Umbria Cemetery in Osceola Mills, PA.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. & from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. to funeral time at the funeral home.
Military Honors will be accorded at the cemetery by the Osceola Mills Honor Guard.
