Geraldeen “Gerri” Denton
Geraldeen “Gerri” Denton, 97, formally of Clearfield, passed away Wednesday February 10th, 2016 at the DuBois Nursing Home. She was born June 22, 1918 in Clearfield, daughter of the late Allen and Orpha (Ayers) Irwin. A lifelong resident of the area, she was a graduate of Clearfield Area High School Class of 1937.
Gerri enjoyed gardening, Pittsburgh Pirates baseball, and spending time with her family at their camp. She was an active member of the Centre Grove United Methodist Church in Clearfield. Mrs. Denton was a radiology technician for 15 years at the former Clearfield Hospital.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, sisters Lucille Turner, Dorothy McDonald, Martha Tobias, Margaret “Peg” Hile, Sara Stephens, and brother Mitchell Irwin; husbands Francis A. Graham (father of her three children), John W. Wrigley, and Ephriam D. Denton.
Gerri is survived by three sons, Francis (Wanda) Graham of West Decatur, Gerald (Jennifer) Graham of Fort Collins, Colorado, and, Stephen (Kathleen) Graham of Rockton; 6 grandchildren Robert (Tina) Shank of New Cumberland, Collin Graham of Fort Collins, Colorado, Theron (Courtney) Graham of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Nathan (Jessika) Graham of Lebanon, PA, Karrie (Cameron) Miller of Treasure Lake, Matthew (Jennifer) Graham of Chicora PA; 11 great grandchildren; and 6 great-great grandchildren.
There will be a celebration of her life Saturday February 20th 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Centre Grove United Methodist Church, 1100 Village Road, Clearfield, PA, with Pastor Randy Willis officiating. The burial will take place at the Bradford Cemetery, Woodland, PA.
