Nina A. Demchak
Nina A. Demchak, 94, of Philipsburg, PA and formerly of Sandy Ridge, PA died on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at Windy Hill Village P.S.L. in Philipsburg, PA.
Born on December 17, 1920 in Sandy Ridge, PA, she was the daughter of the late David & Caroline (Barry) Spitler. She was married to Andrew “Jumbo” Demchak who preceded her in death on June 4, 1985.
Mrs. Demchak was a member of Saint Paul’s United Methodist Church in Sandy Ridge, PA. She was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by: a son, Norman Demchak; four sisters, Evelyn Beck, Martha Carson, Pearl Dixon and Helen Spitler; and four brothers, William Spitler, John L. Spitler, David Spitler and Norman Spitler.
Mrs. Demchak is survived by: three daughters, Carolyn Meredith of Tyrone, PA, Judith Meek & her husband Robert of Sandy Ridge, PA and Marcia Myers & her husband George of Philipsburg, PA; a son, Dennis Demchak of Clearfield, PA; twelve grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
The Funeral Service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, March 20, 2015 at Heath Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Osceola Mills, PA, with Pastor Mark Thumma officiating. Burial will be at the Umbria Cemetery in Osceola Mills, PA.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 19, 2015 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 1:30 until the time of the funeral service at the funeral home.
