Philip J. Delansky
Philip J. Delansky, 88, of Juniper Village State College, PA and formerly of Osceola Mills, PA died on Monday, November 19, 2018 at the Juniper Village in State College, PA.
Born on December 20, 1929 in Osceola Mills, PA he was the son of the late William J. and Pauline M. (Haverlock) Delansky.
He was a member of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary Orthodox Church in Osceola Mills, PA.
Philip was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of the American Legion.
He was a retired school teacher for the Philipsburg Osceola School District, a 1947 graduate of the former Osceola Mills High School and graduated from Clarion University with a BS degree in education in 1957.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, William Delansky and Robert Delansky.
He is survived by: one sister, Nancy P. Reed-Delansky of New Mexico; one brother, James F. Delansky of State College, PA; and several nieces and nephews.
A Burial Service will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Nativity of the Virgin Mary Orthodox Church in Osceola Mills, PA: with Archimandrite Jacob Piruta officiating. Burial will be at the Nativity of the Virgin Mary Orthodox Cemetery in Osceola Mills, PA.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC in Osceola Mills, PA.
Panikhida will be held on Friday at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
