Joyce A. Cowfer
Joyce A. Cowfer, 91, of Osceola Mills, PA, died on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at Windy Hill Village PSL in Philipsburg, PA.
Born on December 17, 1931, in Philipsburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Edward M. & Mary A. (Gearhart) Dixon. She married Robert C. Cowfer on December 20, 1952, in Osceola Mills, PA; he preceded her in death on August 17, 1998.
Joyce was of the Christian and Missionary Alliance faith.
She was a 1949 graduate of the former Osceola Mills High School. And was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Judith Rice and Carol Gardner; and one brother, James Dixon.
Joyce is survived by two sons, Alan B. Cowfer & his wife Ellie of Coraopolis, PA and Roger M. Cowfer & his wife Karen of Osceola Mills, PA; a sister, Linda Thomas of Philipsburg, PA; a brother, Sanford M. “Dick” Dixon of Lakeland, FL; and two grandchildren, Alana Jensen & her husband Jason and James Holt.
The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC, 701 Lingle St., Osceola Mills, PA; with Rev. James Evilsizor officiating. Burial will be at the Umbria Cemetery in Osceola Mills, PA.
Visitation will be Monday, January 23, 2023, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
