Dennis E. Coover
It is with great sadness that the family of Dennis E. Coover, 74 of Houtzdale announces his passing on December 2, 2022, surrounded by his loved ones.
Born on January 26, 1948, in Tipton, PA, he was the son of the late Elmer & Viola (Brower) Coover.
He was a Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War and was a member of the American Legion of Osceola Mills, PA.
Dennis was a retired Respiratory Therapist. He was a 1966 graduate of the Philipsburg-Osceola High School and a 1977 graduate of Altoona Vo-Tech.
He enjoyed auctions, fishing, and picnicking with his family. He also enjoyed crafting and was well known for his animal scene pieces.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jospeh Coover; a grandson, Trevor Dobson; a sister, Dorothy Ammerman; and a brother Charles Coover.
Dennis is survived by a daughter, Tina L. Dobson of Reedsville, PA; three sisters, Brenda Ball & her husband John of Sandy Ridge, PA, Rita Carter & her husband Terry of North Carolina, and a sister, Laura Osewalt of Philipsburg, PA; a brother, Elmer Coover of Osceola Mills, PA; four grandchildren, Megan Medley & her husband Frank, Karissa Dobson, Travis Dobson and Dakota Dobson; and five great-grandchildren, Blake, Brayden, Aron, Kehlani & Matthew.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 14, 2022, from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at the Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC in Osceola Mills, PA
Military Honors will be accorded by the Osceola Mills Honor Guard at the funeral home.
