Harry H. Conklin
Harry H. Conklin, 91, of Osceola Mills, PA entered into the glory of the Lord on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at his home.
Born on March 14, 1928 in Philpsburg,PA he was the son of the late Herman Conklin and Susan (Mehallown) Conklin Gavlock. He married Julia (Tuorinsky) Conklin on March 15, 1952 in Morrisdale, PA: she preceded him in death on August 15, 2006.
He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Osceola Mills, PA.
Harry retired from Power Operating, a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War, a member of the Saint Anthony’s Society, the Louis Jenkins VFW Post 3450 in Philipsburg, PA and he enjoyed fishing.
In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by: two brothers, Albert and George Conklin; and two grandsons, William and Matthew Shannon.
He is survived by: two daughters, Cheryl Shannon & her husband William of Osceola Mills, PA and Mary Jane Conklin of Osceola Mills, PA; two sons, Harry R. Conklin of Osceola Mills, PA and Frank N. Conklin of Osceola Mills, PA; two brothers, John Conklin & his wife Myrna of Morrisdale, PA and Paul Gavlock & his wife Sue of Montoursville, PA; two great-granddaughters, Savannah and Sierra Shannon; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Osceola Mills, PA: with Rev. Father Joseph Staszewski celebrant. Burial will be at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery in Osceola Mills, PA.
Visitation will be held on Saturday from 8:00 am until 9:30 a.m. at the Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC in Osceola Mills, PA.
Military Honors will be accorded by the Osceola Mills Honor Guard.
