Larry J. Cartwright, Sr.
Larry J. Cartwright, Sr., 82, of Sandy Ridge, PA passed away at his home on Tuesday, July 19, 2022.
Born on May 15, 1940,in Philipsburg, PA, he was the son of the late Sylvester J. & Mildred Sylvia (Shimmel) Cartwright. He married Barbara L. Renwick on October 10, 1966, in Sandy Ridge, PA; she survives at home.
He was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Sandy Ridge, a Life Member of the B.P.O.Elks #1173 in Philipsburg, a member of the Osceola Lodge F. & A. M.#515 in Osceola Mills, a member of the Cross Road Lodge and a member of Mt. Top Fire Company in Sandy Ridge.
Larry was a retired self-employed distributor of dairy products and was a 1958 graduate of Philipsburg-Osceola High School.
In addition to his wife, Larry is survived by: two sons, Larry “Jay” Cartwright, Jr. & his wife Julie of Rayland, OH and Brent E. Cartwright & his wife Margie of Sandy Ridge, PA; a brother, Luther B. Cartwright & his wife Carol of Sandy Ridge, PA; and five grandchildren, James, Lee, Margaret, Madeline and Maxwell Cartwright.
The Funeral Service will be held at noon on Monday, July 25, 2022 at the Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC, 701 Lingle St., Osceola Mills, PA, with Pastor Gloria Montgomery officiating. Burial will be at the Philipsburg Cemetery in Philipsburg, PA.
Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 24, 2022, and on Monday from 10:00 a.m until the time of services at the funeral home.
