Daisy E. Burns
Daisy E. Burns, 96, of Brisbin PA and formerly of Philipsburg, PA passed away on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at the TLC Manor in Brisbin, PA.
She was the daughter of the late Lewis & Frances (Weste) Arnold, born on May 30, 1916 in Rush Twp, PA. She married Joseph R. Burns, Sr. on October 26, 1940 in Osceola Mills, PA. He preceded her in death on October 9, 1998.
Mrs. Burns was a member of the Osceola Mills United Methodist Church where she was a former Sunday School Teacher. She was also a member of the Christian Women of Philipsburg, PA.
She was a Retired Nurses Aid for the former Philipsburg State General Hospital.
In addition to her Parents and Husband, Mrs. Burns was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Schnur; two grandchildren, Frederick W. Burns II and Jeffrey A. Schnur; and sixteen sisters and brothers.
She is survived by: two sons, Frederick W. Burns & his wife Roberta of Philipsburg, and Joseph R. Burns, Jr. & his wife Audrey of Morrisdale, PA; six grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be at 11:00a.m. on Monday, January 28, 2013 at the Heath Funeral Home in Osceola Mills, PA, with Pastor Jennifer C. Heikes officiating. Burial will be at the Umbria Cemetery in Osceola Mills, PA.
Visitation will be on Sunday from 6:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at the funeral home.
