Dorothy L. (Nearhoof) Burchill
Dorothy L. (Nearhoof) Burchill. 92, of Osceola Mills, PA died on Friday, December, 28, 2018 at the Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College, PA.
Born on March 11, 1926 in Madera, PA she was the daughter of the late Orville and Sara (Alexander) Nearhoof. She married William S. Burchill on September 27, 1974 at the Houtzdale Presbyterian Church: he survives at home.
She was a member of Saint Paul’s Episcopal Church in Philipsburg, PA where she was a member of the church choir and a lay reader. She was also a member of the Houtzdale Presbyterian Church where she was a Ruling Elder, Trustee, Sunday School Teacher, Sunday School Superintendent, and a member of the church choir.
Dorothy was retired from Charles Navasky & Company and a clerk at the former Osceola Mills Clover Farm Store. She was a 1944 graduate of the former Osceola Mills High School.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: one sister, Orvilla Warrick; and two infant brothers.
Along with her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Rebecca Jo Purcell & her husband Charles of Camp Hill, PA.
The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC in Osceola Mills, PA with Rev. Father Robert McKay and Rev. Father William Walker co-officiating.
