Levetta J. (Meek) “Betty” Baughman. 97, of Osceola Mills, PA died on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at her home.
Born on June 28, 1917 in (Twigg Settlement) Philipsburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin & Wiliamina (Spatzer) Meek. She married Lester M. “Stump” Baughman on July 6, 1938 in Osceola Mills, PA; he preceded her in death August 19, 1994,
Mrs. Baughman was a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Osceola Mills, PA and the Osceola Mills Civic Club. She was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by: a son-in-law, Phillip Dixon; two sisters; six brothers; two close nieces, Leona Drochak and Rosalie Britton; and a great-niecs, Evelyn Drochak.
Mrs. Baughman is survived by: four daughters, Florence Johnson & her husband Robert of Lockport, NY, Dorothy Keith & her husband Lon of Osceola Mills, PA, Bonnie Friday & her husband Conrad of Osceola Mills, PA and Sally Dixon of Philipsburg, PA; twelve grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; a close niece, Christine Showers; and several other nieces and nephews.
The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Osceola Mills, PA; with Rev. William Murphy officiating. Burial will be at the Umbria Cemetery in Osceola Mills, PA.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at the funeral home.
